The Fullerton Farmer’s Market every Thursday evening finds bicyclists coming from all over the city. The city council will be addressing bikes as a form of ordinary transportation in the city in August.

The North Orange County Bicycle Advocacy Coalition (NOCBAC) will meet on Monday August 5 at 6 p.m. at Davis Barber’s studio, in the south east corner of the third floor of Villa De Sol, NW corner of Chapman and Harbor in Fullerton.

Pizza and beer will be provided if you and other members bring them. “We usually make out OK,” Vince Buck, a NOCBAC leader, writes.

“NOCBAC has not met in some time,” Buck writes, “but there are several things going on in Fullerton that need our attention, most notably that the (city) council will hold a study session on bicycles later in August and we need to be able to offer useful insight to the council (and staff). More later on that. If you have other issues to discuss, let me know.”

NOCBAC members, including Buck, are on the City of Fullerton Bicycle Users Subcommittee. The committee reviews policies, plans and projects affecting bicycle travel within the city. Other committee Members are: John Carroll (TCC Representative), Gene Hiegel, Matthew Leslie, Jane Rands, Karla Reinhardt, and Beth Trimble.

The Bicycle Users Subcommittee meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 5 p.m. in Fullerton City Hall, Council Conference Room, 303 West Commonwealth Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92832.
